 To understand the journey it is essential know the objective of the caravan:
We want to spread the centenary of the Ford T, symbolically linking three capitals, two oceans and one car in conjunction with the Primer Club del Ford T de Argentina, Centennial Meeting in Córdoba. This journey will be about 13 – 14 days and cover approximately 2,250 kilometers (1400 miles).
The caravan will pass through the most populated major cities in each of three counties. In each town we will partner with local Model T Ford enthusiasts, local supporters, local businesses who expect to assist in organizing conferences, accommodation and automobile maintenance of the participants in the caravan.
Most participants will attend the caravan partially depending on where they live along the journey route and the amount of time they have to participate. Some participants will join at a point and will accompany the caravan a few kilometers, others may accompany us from the beginning in Uruguay to the end of the meeting in Chile. Some may begin in Uruguay and travel only to Córdoba to attend the centennial meeting. Other may travel from Carlos Paz at the end of the centennial meeting to Chile. Due to time constraints, it may not be possible for visitors from abroad to attend the entire journey. However, ur program will accommodate short or long participation.
The organization will be typical Latin style, which will make it more fun and less formal! The departure and arrival times may vary somewhat. However, the daily destinations and the total time (days) of the caravan are not changeable.
This project is organized by the First Model T Ford Club of Argentina and co-organized with Model T Ford Club of Uruguay and Antique Car Club of the Region V (Chile).
